Missed call leads to killing

LARKANA, July 26: A misscall on cellphone led to the murder of a man and injuries to his brother here on Thursday.

SHO Waleed Saeed Jumani told reporters that a member of Mughiri clan received a miss call on his mobile phone, which infuriated his clan and a group of men fired at and killed Ghazi Khan Chandio, 30, and caused serious injuries to his brother Nasrullah Chandio for allegedly making the call. The victims were going to Mirokhan chowk near Shaikh Zayed colony.

The injured was admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital in a serious condition. Relatives of the deceased said Ghazi Khan Chandio was innocent.

Gang busted: Larkana police claimed to have busted a gang of car lifters with the help of a CCTV camera footage and recovered a car.

Talking to reporters on Wednesday night, Larkana SSP Javed Soonharo Jiskani said the gang leader of the gang Muhammed Pariyal Hakro had been arrested from Ratodero and a car lifted a week ago from a private medical centre in Sachal Colony had been recovered.

During the interrogation, the outlaw had confessed to have lifted 40 cars from Khairpur district and 100 from Karachi.
