KARACHI, May 15: As many as 23 candidates were caught using unfair means at different examination centres of the Higher Secondary School Certificate annual examination in the city on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) said that all the cases had been handed over to the board’s unfair means committee for necessary action.

BIEK chairman Anwar Ahmad Zai, controller of examinations Imran Chishti, director-general of colleges Dr Nasir Ansar and director of private schools Dr Mansoob Siddiqui inspected various centres, including the Govt Postgraduate Home Economics College, Govt Degree Khatoon-i-Pakistan Girls College, Govt Science and Commerce College (Gulistan-i-Jauhar), Mehran Boys College and Ideal Girls College (Gulshan-i-Iqbal) on Tuesday.
