Murder case solved

ATTOCK, May 9:  The Saddar police solved a blind murder of a woman who had allegedly been killed by a village fellow after raping her in Mirza village about a month ago.

The district police headquarters said on Wednesday that a woman’s body stuffed in a jute bag was recovered on April 6. The police started investigation after registering a murder case against the unknown killer.

Meanwhile, a suspected person was arrested with the help of the mobile phone data of the deceased woman. During the preliminary interrogation, the suspected person disclosed that he had relations with the deceased and he invited her to his home when his family members were away.

He said that he raped the woman and afterwards strangulated her fearing that she would disclose the incident. After stuffing the body in a jute bag, he threw it at a deserted place late at night to cover up his crime.—Correspondent
