Smuggling bid foiled

TAXILA, April 27: Wah Saddar police on Friday foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from Peshawar to Punjab and arrested a drug smuggler.

Sub Divisional Police Officer DSP Raja Taifoor Akhter while talking to newsmen said that the police recovered one kilogram heroin during checking of the vehicles at the G.T. Road from a drug smuggler identified as Javaid Khan who was traveling in a Rawalpindi-bound van coming from Peshawar. The police registered a case and started investigation. — Correspondent
