‘Kidnapper’ killed

LAKKI MARWAT, April 26: An alleged kidnapper was killed when his accomplices opened fire during a kidnapping attempt at a house in Kotka Shah Jehan near Naurang town late on Wednesday night.

Gul Taib Khan lodged an FIR in Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station stating that he, his sons and brothers were asleep when he saw ten armed men dressed in army uniform talking to each other in Urdu in his house.

He said two of the armed men overpowered his son, Qudratullah, and in a bid to capture his second son, Hidayatullah, fired at the door and window of a room wherein he was asleep.

“But the firing resulted into killing of one of their own accomplice, who was identified as Waseem Sajjad of Landidak area from his identity card,” he maintained.

He said the armed men escaped leaving behind the body, which was shifted to Naurang civil hospital. Police claimed seizing a Kalashnikov, magazines and bullets from the place.
