UMERKOT, April 25: A divorced woman was axed to death by her uncle on Wednesday for delay to serve him meal.

Sharifan Solangi of Morjhango village was separated from her husband three years ago and her parents also passed away at the same period, Kunri police said. She along with three children was living with her uncle Rasool Bux.

At around midnight, Rasool Bux asked her for food which somehow got delayed. This irritated the uncle who axed her to death.

The body was handed over to her uncle after post-mortem.

Police registered a murder case on the complaint of Yousuf Solangi and arrested the accused.—Correspondent
