Robbers victim dies of cardiac arrest

LAHORE, April 23: Robbers thrashed a former SNGPL employee to death and looted cash and valuables close to his residence near Wapda Town on Monday night.

Sattokatla police said two robbers approached Naveed Saleem Khan (60) and his wife and looted cash and valuables at gunpoint.

Police claimed that Naveed apparently suffered fatal heart attack while entering home and died instantly. Police shifted the body to a hospital for an autopsy. The family members also held a protest demonstration.

Gunmen stormed into the jewellery shop of Muhammad Naeem in Mughalpura police limits and looted jewellery and cash worth Rs800,000.

THEFT: Thieves took away Rs2 million in cash from a filling station on Ferozepur Road near Kot Lakhpat bridge.
