Body of youth killed for ‘honour’ recovered

LAHORE, April 21: South Cantonment police on Saturday recovered the putrefied body of a young man murdered allegedly for ‘honour’ on March 27 from a manhole near Girja Chowk and shifted it to Mayo Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Suspect Arment Michael, who is in custody, told the police he killed Shabbir Ahamd of Sahiwal with iron rods and dumped his body in a manhole.

He said he suspected that Shabbir had developed relations with his wife ‘N’ who worked as a maid in a house on Asad Jan Road where Shabbir was a cook.

Police added murder section in a kidnap case registered earlier.
