Three labourers fall prey to tribal feud

SHIKARPUR, March 28: A dispute between two tribes claimed lives of three men on Wednesday in Rustum area.

Reportedly, six armed men of Jatoi tribe arrived at an under construction road near Rustum and gunned down three labourers after taking them in their custody. Later, they drove away on motorcycles.

The dead identified as Awaz, Iqbal and Gulshan were all Jagirani by caste.

Some Jagirani men, in retaliation, tried to kidnap a Jatoi in Chak town but police thwarted their bid.

SSP of Shikarpur Faizullah Karejo said that police had established a picket in the troubled area and also conducted an operation to arrest culprits.

However, he expected to nab absconders without more delay while some suspects were reportedly arrested.
