Rangers foil smuggling bid

LAHORE, March 25: Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) foiled an attempt to smuggle contrabands into Pakistan from Indian border early on Sunday.

According to a press release, Rangers personnel noticed movement of some people along the border. Patrolling officials followed the suspects and challenged them. After an exchange of fire the officials arrested a smuggler.

Officials found a huge quantity of Indian liqour, cosmetics, artificial jewellery and huge quantity of fake Pakistani currency on him.
