Roadside bomb injures soldier, children

CHARSADDA, March 23: A soldier and three children were wounded when a military convoy was hit by a roadside bomb near Dando Pul (bridge) checkpost here on Friday.

Sources said that the device planted along the road exploded when a military convoy was passing from the area. As a result, army driver, Ammad, and three local children, including Waqas, Saddam and Subhanallah, were injured. They were taken to the local hospital.

The Saro Kallay police station registered the case and have started search for the culprits. PIPELINE BLOWN UP: Unidentified militants blew up a gas pipeline in Matta area of Shabqadar tehsil on the night between Thursday and Friday.

Residents said that several houses and a mosque were also partially damaged due to the powerful explosion.

The blast also hit the telephone cable and disrupted the communication network in the area. The Shabqadar police registered the case and have started investigation.
