Case against columnist

QUETTA, March 8: Quetta’s Judicial Magistrate (III) Muhammad Ibrahim Kakar has again issued a bailable warrant for TV anchor and columnist Hamid Mir for his failure to appear before the court in connection with a complaint lodged by a senior lawyer, Khalid Khan Kakar.

The lawyer has complained against Mr Mir for writing what he describes as insulting remarks against Pakhtuns in his column published a few months ago.

The magistrate had issued the earlier warrant a few days ago.
