Cash, valuables worth Rs7m plundered

LAHORE, Feb 20: Robbers looted cash and valuables worth over Rs7 million during two house and four thoroughfare robberies in the city on Monday.

Four robbers barged into the house of Mian Iftikhar on Ilam Din Road in Shahdara police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs6 million.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Tahir in Mughalpura police limits and took away cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.

Two robbers, riding a bike, stopped Asif Hussain and his family on Hall Road in Qilla Gujjar Singh police limits and looted cash and foreign currency worth Rs250,000 and Danish passports.

Two robbers stopped Aamir Mehmood of Wapda Town near Allah Ho Chowk in Johar Town police limits and plundered Rs28,000 in cash, a wristwatch worth Rs70,000 and four-and-half tolas of gold worthRs375,000 from his sister. The suspects also took away the key of Aamir's car.

Two robbers approached the family of Farooq in Samanabad police limits and deprived it of cash and valuables worth Rs500,000.

Two robbers stopped Saleem in Nishtar Colony police limits and robbed him of Rs6,000, a cell phone and his motorcycle while as many robbers snatched Rs5,000 in cash, a cell phone and a motorcycle from Shahid in Islampura police limits.
