Two kidnappers arrested

FATEHJANG Feb 17: Two alleged kidnappers were arrested by the local police on Friday.

DPO Attock Dr Muhammad Akhtar Abbas while talking to media persons said the alleged kidnappers, Mohammad Alam and Najabat Ali, abducted Allah Yar, a resident of Shah Saadullah village on Sept 22, 2011.

He said the kidnappers contacted Allah Yar’s family and demanded Rs16 million as ransom which was paid to them after a few daysand the kidnapped person was released on Oct 28, 2011.

The DPO said on his return, he narrated the woeful tale of his kidnapping and detention to the police and revealed the appearance of one of the kidnappers. The police figured out that he was kidnapped by Mohammad Alam who was already wanted by police in a number of cases.

A police team headed by SHO Fatehjang Ch Akhtar raided the house of the accused in Hango and succeeded in arresting him.

Mohammad Alam during interrogation identified Najabat Ali as his accomplice who was also held from the same area, Dr Akhtar said.
