Van driver booked in murder case

ATTOCK, Feb 9: Attock City Police have registered a murder case against the wagon driver who allegedly killed a worker in a road accident, it has been learnt.

Earlier the Police have registered an accident case against the accused driver Mohammad Atif, who hit the poor labourer Mohammad Javed, a resident of Shakardara village soon after hitting his handcart near Railway Park on Wednesday. He later escaped from the scene.

The deceased’s relatives along with other village fellows gathered outside the police station and staged a protest against the killing.

They demanded of the police to register a murder case against the absconding wagon driver as he had intentionally killed Mr Javed to take revenge.

The police registered the murder case and further investigation was underway.
