Gangs of fraudsters` busted

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20: Two women were arrested from the limits of Bhara Kahu police station as they were try-ing to sell fake gold. Whereas, two fraudsters who were involved in looting money from people posing themselves as policemen were nabbed from I-8 Markaz.According to police, residents of Bhara Kahu informed the police about the two women who were trying to sell fake gold by visiting different houses. On receiving the information, police arrested both women, identified as Shazia Noreen and Sumaira Sadiq.

During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to have sold fake gold ornaments to several persons minting money from them.

Police have also recovered fake gold from them.

According to sources both suspects told that a local goldsmith was also involved in their gang but he could not be arrested.Meanwhile, Industrial Area police arrested two persons Hasnain Haider and Jameel who were involved in minting money from people posing themselves as policemen.

These fake cops used to stop people, introduce themselves as policemen and take away money from them during their physical search.

They confessed to have minted money from a person Sarfraz Khan in I-8 Markaz besides committing several such acts in Islamabad.

Police also recovered a vehicle (GAW-6098) from them which they used to escape after committing the crime.
