Two thieves caught

LAHORE, Jan 14: Two men were caught stealing goods and material from a railway yard.Also, a pickpocket was arrested from Lahore railway station, said a spokesman for the railways police on Saturday.

Ishtiaq was removing door of a goods wagon at Railway Yard Point No 31 near Garhi Shahu stadium when he was caught by a constable. Manzoor Husain was stealing aluminium rods from a coach stationed near Naulakha.

Nadeem had come to platform No 1 to board the Pakistan Express. In the meantime, a man picked Rs99,000 from his pocket and ran away. Nadeem chased the man and caught him. He was later identified as Shahzad, a resident of Faisalabad's Umer Town. The suspect was handed over to railway police, who seized the amount from Shahzad and returned it to Nadeem.

Cases have been registered against the accused and investigation is under way. — Staff Reporter
