TAXILA, Dec 24: National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) recovered a stolen car and arrested a car-lifter on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police officials signaled Honda City (LZK-763) to stop at Haro Bridge on National Highway (N-5) but the driver tried to escape. However, PO Sardar Farooq and PO Muhammad Ashfaq succeeded in stopping the car and arrested alleged car-lifter Shahid Zaman.

Later, the accused was handed over to local police for further investigation. —Correspondent
