Four killed in two Balochistan incidents

QUETTA: Four men were killed in separate firing incidents in Balochistan on Sunday.

Two Afghans coming to Quetta from Karachi in a vehicle were attacked near Mastung town by some unknown armed men. Amanullah and Shamsuddin were killed on the spot in the attack.

According to police, the incident appeared to be a robbery attempt by men who opened fire on the Afghans after chasing their vehicle.

Bodies of the victims were brought to a hospital in Quetta and were then handed over to their family members.

In another incident, two people were shot dead and another was injured in a firing incident in the border town of Chaman.

A district administration official said Dost Muhammad and Allah Noor were standing on the road when unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire, killing the two on the spot.

A passer-by identified as Mohammad Mushtaq was injured in the attack. The injured and bodies of the victims were taken to a hospital. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained.
