Railways schedule disturbed despite sufficient supply of fuel

KARACHI: The Pakistan Railways’ schedule is still disturbed despite the resumption of fuel supply, DawnNews reported on Sunday.

According to sources from the Pakistan Railways, the authority is currently not facing any fuel shortage but the dismal situation of the engines is responsible for the poor operations and constant delays.

Karakoram Express Karachi is almost nine hours late, Karachi Express four hours and Allama Iqbal Express is four and half hour late as compared to its scheduled time.

Jaffar Express from Quetta also arrived seven and half hours late. The authorities said that efforts have been taken to set the trains on schedule but they urgently need new engines to accomplish this.
