Robbers injure British woman

LAHORE, Dec 5: Robbers shot at and wounded a Pakistani-born British woman and looted cash and valuables in Badar Block of Iqbal Town on Monday.

Iqbal Town police said two unidentified people, who were riding a bike, came to 45-year-old Shahnaz Hameed and snatched her purse containing cash and a cell phone. They also injured her with a blunt weapon when she put up resistance. The woman was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

The Iqbal Town station house officer, however, said the woman complained of her property-related disputes.

He said a case would be registered as soon as police received an application from the woman who sustained a head injury.
