Protest letter sent to UNSC

UNITED NATIONS, Nov 29: Pakistan sent a letter to the presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly on Monday protesting the attack of Nato/Isaf forces on Mohmand Agency which resulted in the loss of precious lives of 24 officers and men of Pakistan Army and injuries to several others.

Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Abdullah Husain Haroon urged the presidents of the council and the assembly to circulate the letter as anofficial document.

However, besides the circulation of the letter as an official document no other action is contemplated by either the General Assembly or Security Council, diplomats here said.
