MMA on top for coalition, says Azhar

ISLAMABAD, Nov 18: The President, Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Mian Muhammad Azhar, said here on Monday that Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal (MMA) topped the list of his party’s preference for a coalition.

Mian Azhar was talking to his party’s office-holders and workers on the current political situation. He spent a busy day at the central secretariat of PML-Q on Monday.

Party leaders, Gohar Ayub Khan, Anwar Haque Ramay, and Nilofer Bakhtiar, were present on the occasion.

He said even though his party had the required majority in the house, they are keen to go along with other political forces.

He said, that his party had acted responsibly and the new parliament was the result of that.

The PML-Q president said that mutual acceptance was the need of the hour because parliament and democracy depended upon the parliamentarians.

Mian Azhar said: “We all are for the supremacy of the Constitution, autonomy of parliament, and the restoration of democracy.”

During his stay at the central secretariat of PML-Q in Islamabad Mian Mohammad Azhar met several associations of workers and politicians.
