Cell phone users face problems in RYK

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Oct 29: Subscribers to a known cell phone company in the district have been facing problems for the last four months.

There are repeated complaints of issues like busy network, sound break, call disconnections, reverse audio, distortion and weak signals.

Many customers of Mobilink have complained that when they make their call, network busy tone and recorded sound “the number you have dialled is not responding at the moment, please try later” can be heard.

Sometimes it takes five to six attempts to get the desired number. When a call is connected, the customers listen to their own sound and their balance is deducted, so goes a common complaint.

Sound breaks and call disconnections without having conversation completed is another gripe.

Sometimes users have no audio sound during their call but lose their balance. Many places in the city like Noorywali, ShahiRoad, Sadiq Bazaar, Town Hall, Wireless Pull, Jugnoo Chowk, City Centre Chowk, Hospital Road and Trust Colony face signal problems for better part of the day.

Similarly, there are complaints in rural areas like Chaks 52, 53, 56 and 93/P, Abu Dhabi Palace area and Pull Sunny. The Mobilink users in the other three tehsils also are facing such problems.

Mobilink Director Public Relations Umer Manzoor told Dawn the company was aware of the network issues in some areas of Rahim Yar Khan.

“Our technical team is working to resolve the issues but it will take some time,” he said.
