Man killed in hospital

SUKKUR, Oct 28: A villager was shot dead in the emergency ward of Civil Hospital in Jacobabad on Friday.

An armed clash took place between two groups of villagers in Khuda Dad Kehar Goth in the Abad area over grazing of cattle belonging to one group in the agricultural land of the other group.

In the ensuing clash in which clubs were used, four brothers — Abdul Aziz, Abdul Hamid, Mohammad Umar and Nazeer Mohammad — of one group and Abdul Sattar, Asghar Ali and Akbar Ali of the other group were injured.

Abdul Aziz, Abdul Hamid, Mohammad Umar and Nazeer Mohammad were taken to the emergency ward of Civil Hospital Jacobabad by their brother Abdul Rehman. Armed men belonging to their rival group followed them and opened fire on the hospital premises, killing Abdul Rehman.

Policemen on duty at the hospital sprung into action, chased the fleeing attackers and arrested four of them — Abdul Sattar, Akbar Ali, Asghar Ali and Mohammad Ali. Two pistols were recovered from their possession.
