ST man shot dead in Orangi

KARACHI, Oct 10: A young worker of the Sunni Tehrik was shot dead in Orangi Town on Monday evening, police said.

They said assailants targeted 25-year-old Jamshad Qadri in Orangi Town’s Sector 11 ½ within the remit of the Pakistan Bazaar police station.

A Sunni Tehrik spokesman said that the victim was standing outside the Gulshan-i-Bihar party office when three suspects riding a motorcycle emerged there and opened fire on him and fled.

The wounded victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he died.

A number of ST workers reached the hospital after getting the news of the targeted killing.

Till late in the night no FIR of the incident was lodged.
