Rs28m smuggled goods seized

LAHORE, Oct 7: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation, Model Customs Collectorate, claim to have seized Rs28.13 million smuggled goods last month.

According to a press release, the ASO under the supervision of Assistant Collector Tauqeer Ahmed Dar and Superintendent Abdul Hameed Bhatti seized 19 smuggled luxury vehicles worth Rs14.4 million.

Moreover, smuggled/non-duty paid goods, including silk cloth, grease and electronic items, were also seized.

Meanwhile, Customs Collector Ali Salman Abbasi has directed the staff to take effective measures to combat the menace of smuggling.
