Fake currency notes seized

ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: The capital police have seized fake currency notes of R1,000 valuing Rs205,000 from different persons, police said on Monday.

The Sabzi Mandi Police intercepted a man at Mandi Mor on suspicious during routine checking.

His body search led to the recovery of currency notes of Rs1000 valuing Rs100,000. The accused, a resident of Gujrat, was arrested and shifted to police station for further legal action.

The police said he brought the fake currency notes from Peshawar and taken it to his native town to use them.

The police said it was the first such illegal activity of the accused which resulted in his arrest.

The accused was produced in the court of law from where he was given in police custody for investigation.
