LAHORE, Aug 26: An accountability court on Friday acquitted Mian Waqar Ahmed, a former regional chief of United Bank Limited, Islamabad, in a misuse of authority reference. Mr. Ahmed was accused of violating terms and conditions during the auction of a textile mills.

The accused said that the case against him was politically motivated and frivolous.
