LAHORE, July 28: Justice Muhammad Khalid Mahmood Khan of the Lahore High Court on Thursday ordered the Lahore CCPO to hold an inquiry against the Raiwind City SHO and an SI for submitting a fake report in a habeas corpus petition for the recovery of 17 kiln workers.

The judge also directed the CCPO to form a new raiding party and recover detainees and submit a report to the LHC deputy registrar judicial.

The court passed the order on a petition filed by Zubaida Bibi who submitted that kiln owner Bashir Gujjar had detained 17 persons of her family, including six women, but the police were not taking any action against him.

On Thursday, SI Gulzar Ahmad submitted a report stating that no-one was kept in illegal detention at the kiln.
