Jobless man commits suicide

RAWALPINDI, July 27: An unemployed person committed suicide by taking poison in Arjan Nagar area on Wednesday, police and his family said.

Mohammad Pervaiz, 42, father of three, had been in distress for the last a few months for being jobless.

Moreover, adding to his miseries, his wife also left him due to the financial constraints and began to live with her parents.

The elder brother of the victim said as he got up in the morning, he found his brother Mohammad Pervaiz vomiting in his room.

He quoted the victim’s last words as saying: “I have no reason to live in this world, therefore, I am dying now.”

The police said as Mohammad Pervaiz’s condition became critical, he was removed to the DHQ hospital where he died in the evening.

According to the doctor, the victim had taken poison in excessive quantity which caused his death. He added that he had been under treatment for his mental disorder at the Benazir Bhutto Hospital for the last a few months.
