Man hurt resisting street robbery

LAHORE, July 19: Robbers shot at and wounded a man and took away all the cash on him along with his motorcycle in Misri Shah police limits on Tuesday.

Two robbers approached Rafique in Sultanpura and told him to handover cash and valuables at gunpoint.

As he offered resistance, the suspects injured him with a gunshot and fled after snatching cash and his motorcycle.

The injured was shifted to hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Four robbers stormed the house of a woman, Asia, in Gulberg police limits, held family members at gunpoint, looted seven toals of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables and escaped.

As many robbers barged in the house of Muhammad Ishaq near Chungi Amar Sidhu Main Bazaar in Factory Area police limits, looted 20 tolas of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables all worth Rs1.1 million and fled the scene. — Staff Reporter
