Rivals kill youth

LAHORE, July 12: A 24-year-old man was killed and another injured after their rivals opened fire on them near the Lahore General Hospital on Tuesday, Kot Lakhpat police said.

Faheem Arif, of Gulistan Colony in Chungi Amarsadho, and his friend Qasim were sitting in the office of Shan Cable Network when four assailants, including Usman Khan and Waqar, opened fire at them and fled leaving Faheem and Qasim injured who were rushed to the hospital. Faheem, however, succumbed to his wounds.

Police registered a case against suspects on the complaint of victim's brother, Kashif Ali. STABBED:

Lower Mall police found a body of an old man, later identified as Riaz, near Bobby Plaza on Bund Road who was slain by unidentified people. Police said Riaz was from Okara. Police registered a case against unidentified killers on the complaint of Mudassir, the victim's relative.
