Judges get minor penalties

LAHORE, July 11: The Lahore High Court has imposed a minor penalty of stoppage of annual increments for four years on Sabir Sultan, a district and sessions judge/officer on special duty.

Similarly, minor penalty of withholding of promotion for three years was imposed on Muhammad Saleem Sheikh, civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate, Hasilpur.

Both the judicial officers were found guilty of misconduct, inefficiency and misuse of judicial powers.
