Woman stabs mother-in-law to death

LAHORE, July 5: A 55-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her daughter-in-law over a domestic issue in Mochi Mohalla of Manawan on Tuesday.

Manawan police said Bashiran, mother of six, was attacked by Musarrat with a sharp edged weapon after they quarrelled over petty issues.

Bashiran received a deep cut on her throat and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police later took Musarrat, her husband Nazir Ahmad, father Allah Bakhsh and brother Naveed into custody and registered a murder case against them on the complaint of Bashiran's son Bashir Ahmad. ACCIDENT:

A 10-year-old girl and a young man were killed in two road accidents here on Tuesday, police said.

Shahdara police said an oil-tanker hit and killed Sher Khan of Kot Abdul Malik at Saggian Bridge.

Gulshan Ravi police said motorcyclist Munir Ahmad and his daughter Kiran were hit by a vehicle near Moon Market. Kiran died at the scene and Ahmad was admitted to a nearby hospital.
