Two die, four injured in attack

SHIKARPUR, July 2: Two men died while four others received bullet injuries in an attack on a car at Rustam chowk here on Saturday morning.

Some armed men of the Brohi community opened fire at the car of a notable, Mughal Brohi, who was returning after appearing before the court in Shikarpur.

Mughal Brohi and his driver Kamal Manganhar were killed in the attack while body guard Aijaz Ali Brohi of the notable and three other persons identified as Ghulam Nabi Abro, Ahmed Noon and Mohammad Ibrahim Brohi, who were sitting at a local hotel, were injured.

The injured and the bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital of Shikarpur where doctors referred Aijaz Ali to the Civil Hospital of Larkana.

The bodies were handed over to relatives after a post-mortem.

The motive behind the incident is said to be a petty dispute between two groups of the Brohi community which has so far claimed lives of more than nine persons.

No FIR was registered till filing of this report.
