Fake priest remanded in police custody

MIRPURKHAS, July 1: The court of civil judge and judicial magistrate-1 Mirpurkhas on Friday granted four-day police remand to a fake priest.

Investigation Town police had arrested a fake priest Khetomal in a raid on Thursday from the jurisdiction of Dilbar Mahar police and on Friday produced him before the court.

Reportedly, one Sawai Bheel of Siyal Colony had lodged a case with Town police last week. He had stated Khetomal and his colleague met him near Dilor stop when his wife was pregnant with their fifth child. They already had four daughters. The two asked him Rs30,000 for administering his wife with black magic to deliver a son this time around.

He got impressed and gave him Rs30,000 to Khetomal but the money couldn't help his wife deliver a boy. Again his wife gave birth to a daughter. The man demanded his money back over which the priest issued him threats of dire consequences and refused to give the amount back.
