Missing girl found dead

KOHAT, June 25: The body of a minor girl with her hands and feet cut was found on Saturday from a drain near the Kohat Cement Factory after she went missing on June 22.

The police, who took the body of three-year-old victim identified as Marwa to hospital, said that the murderers had also beheaded the little girl and dumped her body in a dry sewer line. She had gone to the home of her relatives but did not return, they said quoting the investigators.

The investigating team told this correspondent that father of the deceased, Ismael, had not accused anybody directly, but expressed suspicion about the involvement of four Afghan refugees, including a woman, in the case.

The local people said that the accused were relatives of the victim.

TWO WOMEN KILLED: Two women were killed and 10 people sustained injuries when a bus going to Karak from Lahore via Kohat overturned near Gumbat on Rawalpindi road here on Saturday.

The bodies and injured were taken to the rural health centre, Gumbat, and later shifted after first aid to the KDA hospital, Kohat. The deceased women include Somaira Bibi of Attock district and an unidentified woman.

The injured included Ms Zara, Asif, Aman Shah, Javed Masih, Sabir Shah, Waleed Khan and Said Ghulam – all from Kohat – and Naeem Shah of Banda Daud Shah, Fazal Hayat of Karak and Nawab Gul of Mianwali.

The body of unidentified woman, said to be around 60 years of age, was kept for identification at the hospital.

The police have given a phone number (0922-9360132) for claiming the dead body.
