Police survey helps bring down crime rate

ISLAMABAD, June 21: The ongoing survey of the tenants and other residents being conducted by the capital police in different areas of the federal capital has proved successful in bringing down the crime rate in the city.

It was revealed that auto-theft and burglary cases have declined during this month as compared to the corresponding period of the last year.

A total of seven murder, seven attempt to murder, seven robbery, three burglary, 16 theft cases have been reported during the current month so far while 12 murder, 11 attempt to murder, 18 robbery, 9 burglary and 18 theft cases were registered in the corresponding period of the year 2010.

Similarly, the recovery of arms and narcotics is also higher in this month as compared to the similar period of the last year due to successful vigilance and survey.
