Man kills stepfather

RAWALPINDI, June 13: A man killed his stepfather for marrying his mother after she got divorce from his father.

The victim was removed to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. The murderer escaped. Police said: “He died of multiple stab wounds”.

In another incident, two persons were shot dead while another was injured after they were attacked by their rivals in Chontra area.

Police said Mohammad Yousuf and Toor Khan were on way home when their rivals intercepted them and opened fire killing them on the spot and injuring a passer-by Zafar Iqbal.

Police said Mohammad Yousuf was pursuing a case in the court of law in which Abdul Razaq and his accomplices were being tried for a robbery.

In another incident a man was shot dead over a petty issue in Sadar in the wee hours of Monday.

Raja Mohammad Asghar was shot dead by two gunmen over petty issue in Babu muhallah Sadar. The deceased was sitting at a hotel when he had a brawl with Javaid and his friend. While they were quarrelling, Javaid pulled out his pistol and shot dead Raja Asghar and escaped. —Staff Reporter
