Security situation improving in Balochistan: Malik

QUETTA: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Sunday that the security situation in Balochistan is under control and the Taliban shura in Quetta does not exist, DawnNews reported.

The interior minister also said that the security situation in Balochistan was improving and the missing people had started returning home. He said that there were only a few elements who were trying to make the province unstable.

Speaking about the killing of journalist Saleem Shahzad, Malik said that a commission headed by a judge is being formed.

On the Kharotabad incident, Malik said that the tribunal was conducting its investigations and the public should wait for the findings.
