LAHORE, June 2: The Defence Housing Authority administration has started constructing modern sports complexes in its III and V phases besides chalking out similar projects in other phases.

Inaugurating the construction work on Thursday, DHA Administrator Brig Aslam Rana said the work on sports complexes in XX and G blocks had been started on the direction of Corps Commander Lt-Gen Rashid Mahmood.

He said 64 kanals had been allocated for the Phase-III sports complex where facilities for football, basketball, hockey, squash, cricket, tennis, badminton, skating and fitness would be provided.

He said the Phase-V complex would be constructed over 70 kanals where facilities for football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, cricket, fitness club and jogging would be provided.

He said three cricket pitches would be prepared in Sector-Y of Phase III, Sector GG of Phase IV and Sector-E of Phase V. — Sports Reporter
