Two held for bank robbery

TAXILA, May 31: Police on Tuesday claimed arresting two men involved in Rs2.4 million bank heist and recovering Rs1.45 million from them.

Station SP Potohar Division Farooq Joya told a press conference that CCTV footage played a key role in identifying the culprits. He said none of the five robbers was resident of the city. “They came from different areas and didn’t care whether they will be identified through CCTV recording.” Sub Divisional Police Officer Raja Taifoor Akhter was also present at the press conference.

He said the police within six hours of the bank robbery traced the accused, Sultan Khan, a resident of Kohat. SP Joya said his arrest led to tracing another member of the gang, Ishaq Sharif, a resident of Swabi. —Correspondent
