SIALKOT, May 30: Indiscriminate firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) caused panic among villagers of Shakargarh sector along the Sialkot Working Boundary on Monday.

According to a spokesman for Chenab Rangers, the Indians started firing with heavy weapons at 1.30am. The Rangers retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for an hour. No casualty was reported.

It was the fourth incident of BSF shelling across the working boundary this month.

Shelling in mid-May in Bajra Garhi and Sucheetgrah sectors had left a Pakistani villager dead and 13 people, among them two Rangers, injured.
