Body found

CHAKWAL, May 28: A young man was found dead in Sadeeqabad locality, police sources said on Saturday.

The city police said that the young man, who was strangled a few days ago, appeared to be in his twenties. The body could not be identified. The police said that the young man was wearing black Shalwar and Kameez. — A Correspondent

12 kiosks razed

RAWALPINDI, May 28: The Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA) on Saturday razed 12 kiosks and imposed Rs12,000 fine on 12 shopkeepers for encroachment in different parts of the city.

The RTMA spokesman said the anti-encroachment staff under the supervision of Town Municipal Officer (TMO) Shahzad Haider visited different parts of the city and razed illegally constructed sheds and kiosks at Liaquat Road, Ganjmandi, Farooq-i-Azam Road, Iqbal Road, Benazir Bhutto Road and adjoining bazaars.He said the TMO also imposed Rs12,000 fine on 12 shopkeepers who displayed their goods at footpaths and on the roadsides. He said the TMO warned the shopkeepers that the RTMA would take stern action against those who failed to follow the rules and regulations of the civic body.— A Reporter

Man killed

ATTOCK, May 28: A man was found murdered and another injured in Jand Police area have near Bhindar village on Saturday, police sources said. Jand Police shifted the injured and the body to the tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital Jand amid strict security, the sources said.

The injured told the police that he and his deceased fellow belonged to tribal area of Kohat district and were attacked by some unknown people and later thrown in the jungle. — Correspondent
