MOSCOW: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Moscow on his first foreign trip since Osama bin Laden's killing earlier this month.

Zardari's four-day visit to Russia will include talks with his counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, focusing on counterterrorism and prevention of drug-trafficking in Central and Southern Asia.

The Kremlin says they also are expected to discuss energy cooperation, including Russia's participation in a proposed natural gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to India that would cross Afghanistan and Pakistan.

After bin Laden's killing, Zardari's unpopular government faced criticism from the US, where some politicians accused Pakistani authorities of helping the world's most wanted terrorist.
