KARACHI, May 8: A young man was tortured to death in Lyari early Sunday morning, officials said.

They added that the body was spotted on D.D. Chaudhry Road within the remit of the Baghdadi police station.

“It seemed that the victim, in his mid-30s, was subjected to severe torture,” said an official of the Baghdadi police station.

The police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Following the medico-legal formalities, it was shifted to the Edhi morgue for want of identification.—Staff Reporter
