Honour killings

HYDERABAD, May 6: Forty-eight women were killed in karo-kari attacks and domestic violence and 12 men lost their lives in seven double murder cases in the name of honour during the month of April in Sindh, according to a monthly report compiled by the Research and Development for Human Resources.

The chairman of the organisation, Maqbool Mallah, said after releasing the report here on Friday, that 26 women were killed on the pretext of karo-kari and 22 in domestic violence.

In Sukkur alone, two men and six women were killed, he said.—Bureau
