LAHORE, May 2: A Naseerabad investigation wing police official has been arrested and five others of the operation wing suspended from service over different charges.

According to a police spokesman, SSP (operations) Muhammad Faisal Rana, during a surprise visit to the Naseerabad police station, found citizen Ghulam Muhammad Mustafa in illegal custody of ASI Gulzar Ahmad and ordered his arrest.

The ASI was detained at the same police station after registration of a case. Similarly, the SSP also suspended SIs Ahsan Ahmad, Amjad Ali and ASIs Muhammad Ibrahim, Yahya and Sadiq Ali from service for showing poor performance and failing to deposit case property.
