KARACHI, Oct 14: A grand karate display and the award ceremony was witnessed at the Tai Karate International (H.Q.) yesterday.

Dr Perwaiz Mehmood, Nazim of Liaquatabad Town was the chief guest on the occasion which was presided over by Shafiq-ur-Rehman Usmani, Nazim of North Karachi Town.

A wonderful demonstration by the junior karatekaz amazed the viewers with their skill. Karate fights and yoga were staged by S. Waqar Rizvi, Rafiq Amjad, Yasir Fayyaz, Imran Ali, S. Ali Shah, Ali Hassan, Tauseef Khan, Shoukat, Jabbar Hussain, Dr. Naeem, S. Samina Shah, Huda Choudhry, Merium Mehwish and Neelum.

Morris Sharif excelled in breaking bricks, and Nusrat Afzal was superb in his Nunchuku fight as well.
